Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) is seeking an Principal Energy Project Manager to support Department of Defense (DoD) clients with a portfolio focused on delivery of energy security/resiliency projects, leveraging private-sector resources and capital, that enable the DoD client to meet its mandates and goals. You will work closely with our Program Advisor and Government lead/stakeholders to develop roadmaps and installation-level energy projects. Some travel is required with this position. This is a hybrid position, with the flexibility to work from home while participating in some in-person client and team discussions and/or site visits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall program oversight and strategic direction to achieve the program goals, including interaction with Government client, industry stakeholders, and installation personnel
- Provide management and coordination of the project technical experts that will collect, compile, and analyze utility, regulatory, technical, and market information necessary to generate requirements and thoroughly assess and recommend viable energy resilience project opportunities
- Facilitate the design and delivery of solutions in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment - translating ideas into action by bringing an innovative mindset, experience in consulting on DoD programs, and a desire to provide trusted advice to clients and stakeholders
- Identify holistic installation energy security solutions and path forward to implement via Third Party and/or appropriated funding while considering energy and climate resilience objectives
- Direct and manage a team of engineers and stakeholders to assess viability of potential renewable and alternative energy resilience project opportunities and deliver conceptual designs and cost estimates
- Provide advisory input on DoD energy programs, such as Energy Resilience and Conservation Investment Program (ERCIP), Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPCs), Utility Energy Service Contract (UESC), and Enhanced Use Leases (EUL) projects
- Serve as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the program and oversee all technical aspects of the program
- Lead communications with the Government to provide program status updates and program issues via regular communication
- Provide recurring and ad-hoc project updates and synthesizing complex technical information and concepts for key decision briefs and procurement actions
- Oversee technical staff to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables and reporting
- Monitor and control project budget
- Provide technical leadership in the development and implementation of performance-based business development
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Business, Management, or related field
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience to include experience with: Managing all aspects multiple large-scale energy efficiency and resilience project delivery, including project scoping, conceptual design, site selection, DoD acquisition process, project approval process, and third-party project financing process.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to provide leadership to collaborate with and work with diverse teams
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of energy resilience issues and strategy planning
- Capability to independently initiate and manage tasks, with a high degree of detail and process orientation
- Ability to manage and lead technical teams through cross-functional relationships
- Willingness and ability to set priorities and deliver under tight deadlines in a heavy workload setting
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Common Access Card (CAC)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Located in the Washington, DC Metro Area
- Knowledge of Navy and Marine Corps structure and operations
- Knowledge of Energy/Climate policy/regulation development, implementation, and/or oversight at a federal level, preferably within the Department of Defense, the Department of Energy, or the Department of Homeland Security
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or related field
