The Public Services Administrator (PSA) will join a dynamic team of librarians, library professionals, and administrators at an exciting time for San Antonio Public Library (SAPL). As the Library looks forward to a period of growth, SAPL is seeking a thoughtful library leader who can inspire staff, innovate, and energize communities through delivery of excellent library service. SAPL’s four Public Services Administrators are responsible for managing, planning, directing, organizing, coordinating, and evaluating services for Library locations to meet present and future needs for the San Antonio Public Library.

For over 120 years, the award-winning San Antonio Public Library (SAPL) has provided free learning, knowledge, communication, culture, and enjoyment to residents of San Antonio and Bexar County. It consistently receives high marks from local residents in the City of San Antonio Community Satisfaction and Budget Priorities Survey. In fact, according to a 2024 Customer Satisfaction survey, the San Antonio Public Library achieved a 96% customer satisfaction rating. The Library system, comprised of a world-class Central Library, 28 branch libraries and a library portal at the Briscoe Western Art Museum, boasts a collection of over 2 million items including books, eBooks, audiobooks, movies, vinyl records, streaming video, and more. All locations provide free indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi as well as access to public computers and other technology. Collections and programs reflect the diversity of the community and are responsive to changing needs and newcomers in this fast-growing city. SAPL has committed to age-level, culturally diverse, and technology driven services that meet the unique needs of the community.
