Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and service-oriented leader to join our team as a Shuttle Bus Supervisor at Tampa International Airport. This role is critical in ensuring the safe, efficient, and customer-focused operation of shuttle services during SkyConnect Train outages. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a passion for safety and service excellence, and the ability to coordinate teams in a fast-paced airport environment. Must possess a Class B Commercial Driver License with Passenger Endorsement
Bilingual (Spanish/English) speaking applicants are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate shuttle bus operations during SkyConnect Train service interruptions, ensuring timely and safe transportation for passengers.
• Supervise and support shuttle drivers, dispatchers, and on-site personnel to maintain high service standards.
• Monitor vehicle locations and provide accurate and timely updates to passengers and airport stakeholders.
• Resolve operational issues promptly while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and safety.
• Maintain detailed records of vehicle movements, incidents, and service metrics for reporting and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with airport operations and emergency response teams to ensure seamless coordination during service disruptions.
• Stay current with DOT regulations, ABM policies, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
• Promote a positive team environment and provide coaching and development opportunities for staff.
• Participate in performance reviews and contribute to operational planning and analysis.
• Rotate COBUS vehicles weekly between designated locations to ensure balanced usage.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the shuttle operations.
• Monitors radio, telephones and on-road provision of service for quality.
• Participates in analysis and review of operating performance.
• Weekly rotate COBUS vehicles between locations.
• All other duties, as assigned.
*COBUS refers to a specialized brand of airport shuttle buses designed for transporting passengers between terminals and aircraft on the tarmac. These vehicles are commonly used in airport ground operations for their high capacity and efficiency.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) or more years of Supervisor experience is required.
• Two (2) years of Customer Service experience is required.
• Two (2) years of Commercial Driving experience is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and dispatch software is a plus.
• Proficiency in using computers and common software applications is required.
• Knowledge of the airport service area is a plus
