Responsibilities
The Senior Strategy & Planning Analyst will be a critical member of the Market Strategy Team, a vertical within the Strategy and Planning umbrella under Enlyte's Customer & Market Operations (CMO) organization. The Market Strategy Team serves as the strategic function guiding the organization to focus on the vital few initiatives driving accretive value through market insights, competitive intelligence, and strategic prioritization across all business units.
This role operates in a dynamic, forward-looking environment where strategic thinking and data-driven market insights are paramount. The position requires the ability to identify high-impact opportunities, synthesize complex market information, and translate competitive intelligence into focused strategic recommendations. The analyst will have opportunities to shape organizational priorities and influence senior leadership decision-making, with broad exposure across Enlyte's commercial ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Market Assessment: Conduct in-depth market assessments to identify the highest-value growth opportunities and strategic imperatives; analyze market share data and competitive positioning to inform strategic prioritization
- Data-Driven Market Analysis: Leverage SQL to extract, analyze, and interpret complex datasets from multiple sources to uncover market trends and competitive insights
- Value-Driven Opportunity Analysis: Evaluate and prioritize market opportunities based on potential value creation, strategic fit, and competitive advantage; develop frameworks to assess and rank initiatives by ROI potential
- Competitive Intelligence: Research and analyze competitive movements and market dynamics to identify threats and opportunities that require strategic response
- Strategic Initiative Prioritization: Lead efforts to identify and focus organizational resources on the vital few initiatives with highest potential for accretive value creation
- Data Model Development: Design and implement data models using SQL to support strategic decision-making and market analysis
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Business Unit leadership to ensure strategic market insights drive focused execution on highest-value opportunities
- Strategic Advisory: Provide data-driven market insights and recommendations to executive leadership to inform strategic decision-making and resource allocation
- Executive Communication: Prepare executive-level strategic recommendations and prioritization frameworks for CMO leadership; present compelling business cases for strategic focus areas
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus
- 5-7 years in consulting investment banking, strategic planning, market analysis, management consulting, or similar roles with demonstrated track record of driving value-focused strategic decisions
- Technical Skills:
- Strong SQL skills required with demonstrated ability to write complex queries, join multiple data sources, and perform advanced data analysis
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with strategic planning tools and frameworks
- Presentation and data visualization software (PowerPoint, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) a plus
- Additional programming knowledge (Python, R) a plus
- Data Analysis Skills: Experience with data modeling, market sizing, value proposition analysis, and competitive benchmarking; ability to identify and quantify high-value market opportunities through data analysis
- Strategic Skills: Strong capabilities in strategic prioritization, opportunity assessment, and value analysis; experience with portfolio management and strategic roadmap development
- Core Competencies: Exceptional critical thinking and strategic reasoning; strong business acumen with ability to identify value-driving opportunities; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence and align stakeholders around strategic priorities
- Work Style: Strategic thinker with proven ability to focus on high-impact initiatives; collaborative approach with ability to build consensus around strategic priorities; intellectual rigor in evaluating and ranking strategic options; comfort with ambiguity and ability to provide clarity in complex situations
- Preferred Experience: Strategic planning in enterprise technology/SaaS; market strategy in tech-enabled services; B2B strategic positioning; healthcare technology/services market expertise; high-growth technology companies; Property & Casualty insurance sectors (Work Comp, Auto, Disability, Group Health) a plus
