The Opportunity
Tetra Tech is looking for a full-time Energy Efficiency Professional/Energy Engineer to work on site as a Resource Efficiency Manager (REM) at the Presidio of Monterey in California.
Your Role:
As the Resource Efficiency Manager, you will be stationed at the Presidio of Monterey, providing comprehensive energy management services. Your primary responsibility will be to identify energy conservation opportunities and facilitate the implementation of projects, initiatives, and programs aimed at reducing energy consumption and demand, saving costs, and promoting environmental sustainability. You will work collaboratively with both the customer and Tetra Tech, acting as an on-site agent to drive energy and cost savings while achieving federal and Army objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage energy efficiency programs and initiatives.
Conduct daily facility walkthroughs to perform energy audits and identify conservation opportunities.
Develop and propose energy efficiency improvements for various facilities.
Explore and develop distributed generation and renewable energy projects.
Provide energy training and support to staff.
Conduct design reviews and analyze energy and utility data.
Recommend enhancements to energy and utility procurement operations and maintenance.
Assist in the construction and implementation of energy projects.
Write technically sound audit and other reports
Work both independently and collaboratively with the client and other Tetra Tech team members/REMs
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
Qualifications
The Resource Efficiency Manager position requires a minimum of 3 to 10 years of experience in energy management or energy engineering depending on your educational background. Candidates should possess a strong background in utilities and HVAC, along with experience in energy auditing, project development, life-cycle cost analysis, direct digital controls, commissioning, and building/system optimization. Experience working in Federal or Department of Defense facilities, particularly Army bases, is highly desirable.
Additional Qualifications:
Proficient knowledge of utility information systems, energy management technologies, and metering.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
      Proven problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering results.
Ability to produce technically accurate documentation, including technical reports, white papers, metrics, and briefs.
Proficient in computer applications, particularly spreadsheets (especially MS Excel) and other database tools.
Degree/Certifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related energy field is required; however, military or civilian experience at Army bases or other Federal installations, along with relevant experience in the energy sector, may be acceptable.
Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation is required. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu.
U.S. citizenship is mandatory, and candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
