- Overall leadership, direction and guidance of all facets of your assigned programs, projects and/or control accounts
- Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of your teams to ensure successful program execution
- Develop and monitor program baselines and performance, risk, opportunities, cost & schedule
- Define, secure, organize and direct staff, resources, standards, processes, procedures and tools essential for the successful completion of a program.
- Provide sound leadership and team-building to motivate, influence and effectively apply the program staff
- Develop good internal/external communication systems
- Ensure that program requirements, purposes, objectives, and expectations are communicated and flowed-down to the internal team and subcontractors
- Resolve conflicts, demands and priorities on assigned programs
- Work unplanned program issues to a best solution, including development of plans-forward, escalation and increased resources, as required
- Effectively communicate program status to leadership
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with engineering, operations, contracts, subcontracts, finance, security, staffing, and procurement
- For supplier program management, responsibilities will focus on managing the cost, schedule and technical performance of key vendors

- The ideal candidate will possess superior leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, be a strong team player, and have the ability to establish solid working relationships with technical staff, peers, suppliers and leadership within the organization
- B.S /B.A. in Engineering, Science or Mathematics or equivalent with 5-10 years of relevant aerospace industry experience
- Demonstrated track record of successfully leading engineering, development, test and certification projects >$15M
- Experience managing innovative solutions to technical problems
- Experience in building and leading a multi-disciplined team including members from Engineering, Operations, Integrated Supply Chain, and Quality
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience implementing, EVMS, Risk & Opportunity Management, and IMS tools and processes (Microsoft Project is a plus)
- Successful demonstration of preparing, managing and presenting required Gate reviews to leadership
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Supplier program manager roles additionally require experience successfully managing vendors - generating SOWs, evaluating proposals, performing source selections, evaluating and leading the cost, schedule and technical performance of suppliers
