Description
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Media Technician to join our team supporting the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) under Task Order 9 of the ITSS BPA. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality media, production, and event services that support FTC operations, virtual and hybrid events, and internal communications. The ideal candidate will have experience with Bose VB1 systems or like systems, video production, and large audio/telepresence systems in a federal or enterprise environment.Responsibilities:
- Support and troubleshoot large-scale audio systems and telepresence environments for executive and high-profile events.
- Coordinate with infrastructure vendors to ensure Bose VB1 systems are secure and up to date
- Collaborate with 3rd party vendors for media equipment
- Provide virtual support to 8 Regional Offices in the U.S.
- Validate media system performance 30 minutes prior to sessions to ensure audio and video functionality
- Coordinate logistics for onsite, virtual, and hybrid events including hearings, workshops, and ceremonies.
- Collaborate with other departments and vendors for AV, Bose VB1, and media production needs.
- Manage timelines, risk mitigation, and contingency planning
- Maintain accurate records and reports for each conference/meeting.
- Track inventory and equipment status
- Utilize ServiceNow ITSM platform to work on break/fix issues and requests
- Ensure media laptops are updated, functional, and has the required software to support media related events
- Create and maintain media related documentation (SOPs, work instructions, user guides, knowledge articles, etc.
- Adhere to contract SLAs and government policies
- Attend/Host all internal meetings, leadership meetings, customer meetings, walkthroughs, etc.
- Proactively track and monitor media mailbox, Outlook, Teams chat, etc. for incoming requests, etc.
- Provide physical setups, testing, and maintenance of audio/visual equipment and conference facilities.
- Ensure direct communication with customers, including executive-level staff, for AV needs.
- Provide photography services for official headshots and events
Requirements:
- HS Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience in media production, AV support, or event coordination.
- Proficiency with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Bose VB1, and large audio/telepresence systems.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with federal IT environments and security protocols is a plus.
- Strong technical background with experience in audio/visual systems, video teleconferencing, and IT support.
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems and common office software.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal agencies or government contracts.
- Knowledge of Section 508 compliance and accessibility standards.
- Familiarity with SharePoint and intranet content management.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
