CLASSIFICATION: Manager, Range Instrumentation Section; Salary

LOCATION: RIS, Bldg. 11149, ERCC #1 Eglin AFB, FL

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Primary job function is to lead, plan, organize, direct, and control the activities of sites/groups in the Range Instrumentation Section of the Mission Department. Candidate will report to the Department Head.

GENERAL DUTIES:

• Job functions include meeting with customer and/or other representatives to plan/coordinate mission requirements; provide guidance to section leaders and supervisors; coordinate with other branches and/or departments on technical, test support, and managerial matters.
• Provide leadership in the directions and management of engineering, maintenance, and operation efforts.
• Assign incoming tasks and coordinate task support to meet mission requirements.
• Monitor task directives for compliance with all requirements, including cost and deadlines.
• Effectively utilize resources to accomplish missions.
• Represent the company at meetings with outside agencies.
• Participate in applicable Department Staff Meetings.

Job Requirements:

OTHER DUTIES: Additional duties may be assigned to support contract/mission support requirements in job related areas.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must have Bachelor's Degree in a technical field with 10 years of experience; preferably with a broad technical understanding of electrical, mechanical, software, and radar data, and telemetry system principles. Demonstrates leadership/supervisory/management skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills; above average commercial computer software skills. Experience working with test support and range operations is a plus.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Secret security clearance. Must meet requirements to operate in enhanced security environments. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Observes company quality, safety, environmental, security and administrative policies; supports process improvements.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Most duties will be performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position will be subject to substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Must be able to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; and requires some lifting or moving of objects. Must be capable of sitting, walking, and standing.
